Safety Guidelines for the "Flame" Nail Drill Bit

Safety Guidelines for the "Flame" Nail Drill Bit

The "Flame" nail drill bit is one of the most popular forms among nail technicians due to its multifunctionality and ease of use.

Purpose of the “Flame” Diamond Nail Drill Bit:

  • Opening and lifting the cuticle.
  • Cleaning the pterygium.
  • Working with side rollers.
  • Treating calluses.
  • Treating cracks.

As with any nail drill bit, when using the "Flame" nail drill bit, you should follow the safety rules for hardware manicure techniques to avoid injury to the treated area:

1. Avoid creating blind spots, which are areas of the treated surface that you do not visually control. Always ensure you understand the direction and angle of the cutter to avoid mistakes.

2. The nail drill bit should be used at an angle and avoid full-surface contact. When treating the area up to the middle of the sinus, the bit should be tilted by 45°, and in the middle of the sinus, the cutter should be tilted by 10°.

3. It is crucial to perform all actions step by step. To avoid injuring the client's hands, the treatment should be divided into small 1-2 mm steps to follow the curvature lines accurately.

4. The optimal speed of the nail bit should correspond to the technician's experience level and the client's cuticle type. A beginner should work with the nail drill bit at a speed of 7-10 thousand RPM, while an experienced technician can work at 15 thousand RPM and higher.

5. Maintaining the cleanliness of the cutter is very important. A cutter surface clogged with dust residues loses its abrasiveness, directly affecting the processing time and necessitating additional pressure or increased RPM, which can lead to injuries to the nail plate.

KMIZ manufactures a special line of nail drill bits called "Tornado." The diamond coating technology of "Tornado" ensures an extended service life and improved cutting properties: the removed material does not get repeatedly ground by the diamond grains but is quickly removed through the spiral grooves of the attachment.

Advantages of "Tornado" diamond nail drill bits:

  • Reduced processing time.
  • No heating of the nail plate.
  • Extended service life.

"Tornado" diamond nail bits are used for treating lateral folds, cuticles, calluses, and skin roughness on the fingers in hardware manicure and pedicure.
